Bakari House

This was the vacation of a lifetime! As this was our first trip to the Bahamas we did not exactly know what to expect. Anyway, all expectations were instantly exceeded. From the moment of our arrival we began enjoying the warm climate, the authenticity of the the island and its friendly people. As we reached Bahari House the fascination of the scenery, the breathtaking view of the turquoise sea in front of the house and the stylish interiour design literally overwhelmed us. This place needs to be experienced in real life. You immediately feel at home, although i can not think of many homes being in such a pittoresque location and as tastefully decorated with love to every single detail. It is a spacious and airy atmosphere as beautiful when the sun shines as it is in the dark of the evening lit in a very moody way. Pool, hot tub and the sea are all at the tip of your toes competing for your attention. As much as we liked our frequent boat trips, we enjoyed coming home to this little paradise every day of our stay. We can not think of a better place to spend two weeks. If the term »quality time« needs a definition – this is it! We simply loved every single moment of being at the Bahari House.

Thank you for sharing this magical place with me and my family. We had the best time. The views from this beautiful house are incredible, we had so much fun down on the dock catching fish and enjoying the water from down there. We hope to be able to come back soon and enjoy this magic again. Much gratitude.

We stayed at Bahari House from 17 February to 3 March. We had the holiday of our lifetime in this luxurious villa with its spectacular views over the bay. The house is beautifully decorated and caters for every need. We slept in the pink and green room which was very comfortable. Cooking in the fully equipped kitchen was an absolute pleasure. We particularly enjoyed relaxing on the jetty by the sea, which you reach by going down a few natural steps. Even from the jetty we saw many fish, it is like an aquarium. We also went swimming, snorkelling and canoeing from there. (Snorkelling gear and canoes are provided by the generous owners.) Once you are at Bahari House, you never want to leave, as it has everything from the infinity pool to the Jacuzzi, from the outdoor area with its relaxing sofas to the jetty with its sunbeds, from the magnificent garden with its indigenous plants to the lovingly maintained house. The staff was extremely friendly and forthcoming. We warmly recommend Bahari House, our expectations were more than met.

My family has been too Great Exuma, Little Exuma, and Long Island, Bahamas several times and stayed in four other very nice villas. This villa is on the top of that list. The house is great, the pool and hot tub are fantastic, and the views are the best on the island. If you want to be directly on a beach, then this is not the house for you, but if you want the best views, accommodations, location, pool, hot tub, and are in to boating in Exuma, then this is the house. You can kayak a very short distance across calm and shallow waters in Moriah Harbor to the best sand bars/beaches in the area. You can and should rent a boat from Island Exclusive Boat Rentals and keep it at the house for a week or more. Get the 21 or 23-foot boat, you won't regret it. In the evenings, I caught nice size Nassau Grouper and Yellow Tail Snapper from the dock on a hand line with squid and cut up small bait fish that I caught with the squid. Was a blast and a fun way to end the day before dinner. This house was newly renovated after COVID and is fantastic. Monica, the house manager, is awesome and very responsive. She bought our groceries and delivered them to the house prior to arrival and she met us at the airport, and we followed her in our rental car to the house. This house is worth every penny and if you like to boat, kayak, fish, and are not afraid of a little adventure to get to the various cays, beaches and sandbars that are very close by, then this house is the one!
