Moonflower

Moonflower was exactly as described. And the host was excellent, always responded within 10-15 minutes. The setting right on Gaulding Cay was lovely, and daddy Joe’s restaurant a short walk away was great. You’ll definitely need a car to explore all the great sights nearby. The host was also great with local reccomendations. And they had really nice lounge chairs to bring down to the beach. Couple of small things could have made the stay more enjoyable - 1) there wasn’t a full length mirror, that’s an easy fix 2) the fitted sheets on the bed kept coming off, there was no elasticity to keep them secure. It would be nice to have better quality sheets 3) the interiors were a little tired, there was a picture hook on the wall with no picture on it. And by the 5th day the shower clogged. But overall, it was a good value and the beach just a few steps away can’t be beat!

Steps from a stunningly beautiful beach, Moonflower offered everything we needed for a relaxing family beach vacation. There were probably 10 lightweight Adirondack chairs and another 10 chaises lounges that we could carry a few hundred steps to the beach each day, along with a full basket of great beach towels. There was a delightful outdoor area where we could sit and read in the sun or shade, a front patio where we ate breakfast and looked through the pines to the turquoise waters of Gaulding Cay, and a shady side porch with comfortable chairs. We walked 10 min up the private dirt road to Daddy's Joe's for dinner, or cooked in the fully equipped kitchen. In the evenings we all piled onto the many couches in the large living room to watch TV or read. The beds were very comfortable and they came with lots of linens. The bathrooms were clean with white, fluffy towels. The dining table seated at least 8 comfortably. The AC units and ceiling fans worked excellently. We will return!

This was my first time in the Bahamas. I am so thrilled we stayed at Moonflower. First- location. Gaulding Cay is stunning and frequently listed as one of the best beaches on Eleuthera for good reason. The color of the water and serenity is magnificent. snorkeling started our days and sunset paddles ended them. The home has so many toys and amenities. The outdoor shower and spaces are wonderful. Daddy Joes is within walking distance with consistent good food and a warm friendly staff. Their warmth was only surpassed by the Moonflower owners who were always available, kind and helpful. i truly hope to return to this magic island and beautiful home.

Probably my favorite Airbnb ever. A spacious, comfortable interior paired with a beautiful location made for the perfect stay. The location was ideal as it wasn’t too far from ELH and is close to Gregory Town where you get groceries and find more restaurants on top of Daddy Joe’s right across the street. The host was kind, responsive, and informative to the highest degree. We even received an Eleuthera calendar as a parting gift! <br/>When our flight home got cancelled due to inclement weather, we reached out to the host about staying one more night, to which Emily obliged at no extra cost. The hospitality we received was exemplary and true to the Bahamian way. We’ll definitely choose the Moonflower on our next trip to the Bahamas!
